I'm super grateful to be part of the listening - and sharing music aspect of this time of year. For Your Consideration - FYC - is a process of basically going to fellow Recording Academy members - hey look! we made some music! or actually - Listen (please) and truly check out these tunes that ran through my head and kept me awake and distracted this past year / 2 years/ 7 years etc. Then I was lucky to work with amazing humans to workshop, collaborate, co write and bring about into reality some dreams that used to be just drifting in the air! wow!
I make music for kids both to provide helpful and fun musical stories that are relevant and meaningful for littles
and also -
as my way of processing parenthood, journalling the moments together as a family that are wonderful, challenging, funny, sparkly and all the feelings in between.
Some of the songs in my new album Little Wild Learning have been running through my head since probably 2008 when I used to race my little boy on his little tricycle, later his bike, scooter, his hopping feet or being pretend animals to the playground at the park around the corner of our street. He just turned 18 so truly some circles do take a long time to return to the start again and complete.
