So excited to share my new lil collection TODAY! made with a beautiful team of creative souls, for your kids' creative soul.
I wanted to write you a real blog today though, not a promo.
So why 'Playful' ?
Well, to be fair, I've had my ups and downs through the years managing the emotional equilibrium of motherhood. I've ALWAYS loved being a mum, and all these songs are born of the essential groundedness and connection I've found being my kids' mama, but I wasn't ALWAYS feeling the fun. (especially the time my toddler locked me in the broom cupboard in a game of peek a boo! but that's another story)
I'd be kind of on the side, happy when my little ones were happy, (specially when dad got home yay!!) but often worried and stressed about whether I was keeping up with *all the things, learning about routines, naps, school programmes, safety, milestones, even just basic stuff like keeping on top of the washing pile. And all of that 'to do list' intensity, and anxiety can kind of get in the way of being in the moment with your kids eh?
I'd still find my fun with them in little moments, especially when I saw them experiencing something they loved and it triggered a little tune in my head. When you're tired, or overwhelmed, it's easy to just be a bit grey, coping, and even balanced, but not feeling the sparkle.
Every song is a memory, and a little bit of therapy. These songs are mostly sparkles I found in moments back then, and now that I have a little more perspective, and a beautiful team^ to work with, I am grateful to usher them out into the world.
For you, dear reader, it's all about helping you be present with your kids, and finding the fun no matter what. Even Road Works can be fun, with the right perspective, and a silly little song :)
Gosh we all need that right?
