Underneath our feet in the fallen golden leaves
There's a kind of skeleton that comes out at Halloween
In the woods, in the lane, in the park, in the playground
The skeletons are dancing a leafy skeleton parade (the leaf
skeletons)

They are the leaf skeletons
They show their veins (skeletons)
Papery and see through
When we hold them in the light in the windowpane
We might collect some
And make a nature skeleton display

You might see these skeletons when off to school you walk
All the leaf skeletons they can chatter but they don't talk
In the garden, in the town, everywhere there's trees around
All the leaf skeletons dance the song of the soil and the
underground

They are the leaf skeletons

Then put them back to the soil
When Halloween is over again
