Ray, Ray, eagle ray
Ray, Ray, eagle ray

First we saw gannets dive
Then we saw orca
Then we got stuck on the rocks
And Mama came saved us
Then we saw an eagle ray
Swim right in the bay
As we splashed in the evening waves
At Sandy Bay

It glided in shallows and hid in the shadows
It surfed through the breakers
Under the blue sky avoiding the orca

So we gave it space
And we watched it play
None of us had ever seen
An eagle ray

Under the blue sky, no sign of the orca

Then the eagle ray
Flipped its wing and waved
Now the coast was clear
